Jamie is an eight-week-old, female terrier mix puppy. She was found with severe trauma to her left hind leg necessitating removal up to and including the hock.

Jamie first came to us with a left hind leg amputation. The owner rescued her and does not know how she lost the limb. Jamie tries to use the residual limb but it causes a lot of unnecessary strain.

Because of her tiny size, Jamie was sent back home to grow. It would be difficult to keep her fit comfortably while growing. She will be back at Equine Prosthetics in September to start the fitting process. In the meantime, she is keeping her mobility and strength with exercises and swimming.
